Ollie: From the Corner to the Couch
Ollie was brought to us on a rainy night. The person who brought her said she had been wandering the streets for a long time—so elusive that she was nearly impossible to catch. She was soaked to the bone and so emaciated that her ribs were visible, and her fur was falling out in clumps.
We placed Ollie in a quiet room, laid out some blankets, and provided food and water. She remained curled up in a corner the entire time, refusing to eat. Every day, we replenished her food and water, but we made sure not to touch her.
On the third day, Ollie finally began to eat. In the days that followed, she would slowly approach our feet and gently rub her head against my hand. Now, her fur has grown back completely; it is thick, dense, and gray in color. She loves to lie on the windowsill and watch the birds outside, and she also enjoys napping on the sofa.
With every piece you choose, it plants a $2 seed of hope for a rescued life.
